The primary purpose of a pond bottom drain is to remove fish waste and plant debris by directing it into a pre-filter, where the water is cleaned before returning to the pond. With their excellent water flow rates, bottom drains efficiently clear waste while helping to break it down, keeping your pond clean and healthy.

Phosphorus is an important nutrient for aquatic plants. The amount found in water is generally not more than 0.1 ppm unless the water has become polluted from waste water sources or excessive fertilizer runoff. When phosphorus levels exceed what is required for normal pond health, a process called eutrophication or premature aging of a body of water can take place. If water quality problems are caused by high phosphorus, treatments of EasyPro Phosphate Binder can be added. It works by binding reactive phosphorus at the molecular level and removing it from the water column. This removal helps to improve water quality in ponds and lakes.

• Ensure that the liner is free of mud or other contaminants prior to the application of the primer.
• Once the EPDM liner is dry, pour a small amount of the primer onto the area that requires patching. Always wear gloves when applying primer.
• Apply the primer to the patch area using the scrubber pad.
• Allow the primer to become tacky prior to applying the patch.
• Peel off the paper backing from the patch and apply to the damaged area of the liner
• Roll the patch evenly ensuring that all areas are free of blisters. Allow the primer to completely bond prior to exposing the patch of water.
