The Aquascape Rigid Filter Mats provide efficient mechanical and biological filtration for your pond. The filter mat measures 24" x 39" x 1.5" thick and can be easily cut to your desired size and shape using a serrated knife. This allows for installation in a wide variety of skimmer boxes and filters. They are extremely easy to maintain, only needing to be cleaned periodically. For best results we recommend combining different densities to maximizing mechanical and biological filtration.

The open, highly aerobic 3 dimensional structure promotes healthy water conditions and ease of cleaning in most non-pressurized filter designs. Matala® is a filter media that is simple and that works.

The various densities can be used in sequence or separately for unique filtration requirements. This is one of the greatest characteristics which Matala has to offer. No other media on the market can perform this step-wise filtration. Matala effectively separates large particles to small and still maintains a very aerobic and free flow of water without channeling. Matala is slightly buoyant and will not sink to the bottom of your filter. Matala stood vertically on end will not float. Matala stacked horizontally will hold each other down. Due to it's rigidity the Matala can be wedged in place in the filter without support.

K1 media has been used by Evolution Aqua in Koi filtration systems for a number of years. This new type of filter media, K1 Micro, contains all of the benefits of traditional K1 media but is extruded in a much smaller form. The small wheel shaped filter media pieces provide a significantly increased protected surface area per cubic metre when compared to standard K1 for bacteria to colonize. This makes K1 Micro an ideal filter media for aquariums of all types where high level biological filtration is needed. K1 Micro can also be used to replace existing filter media.

The bulk Filter Media Rolls provide the ability to cut the material precisely to the shape and size of any pond filter, allowing you to use Aquascape Filter Media Rolls for a wide variety of applications.

SAVIO Springflo Bio Filter Media's performance is unmatched. Unlike copies, this patented ribbon encourages better adhesion and proliferation of bacteria using a special formulation of polypropylene and calcium carbonate. The textured surface is embossed with millions of dimples to rapidly secure and develop beneficial microorganisms. It does not clog and resists channeling and compaction in up-flow and horizontal-flow low pressure filter chambers. Negative buoyancy keeps it in place.

Simply shake it and drain the filter. Other media is prone to clogging, requiring rigorous cleaning, which disrupts healthy bacteria. SAVIO Springflo is very durable, lasting 3-5 years.

SAVIO Springflo Bio Filter Media provides enormous surface area while being light and compact. Shipping and storage is easier. Each roll contains 180 sq. ft. of surface area, suitable for up to 3 cu. ft. of filter volume.

From time to time (rarely) beads require replacement. Especially true if you accidentally let beads out of your sludge valve on the bottom. These are the same beads as specified for your Aquadyne filter.

Sea Side Aquatics Ceramic Bio-House Media is specifically designed for Bakki Showers, Trickle Filters and Shower Filters. 10 times more effective than normal filtration by cultivating beneficial bacteria.
