Quick buying tips (tap to expand)
  • Pick by use-case first: leaf cover, predator protection, or daily debris removal.
  • Mesh size matters: finer mesh blocks smaller leaves but can collect debris faster.
  • For fall leaves, keep the net elevated (tent-style) so leaves dry and blow off easier.
  • Handled nets make routine maintenance faster (skimming, fish handling, and cleanup).
Quick sizing & install tips (simple)
  • Measure the maximum length and width you need to cover (including streams or edges you want protected).
  • Add overlap so you can secure it: typically 12–24 inches on each side.
  • Keep the net off the water when possible (stakes/poles/tent system) to reduce sagging and improve safety.
  • Pull the net snug and anchor evenly around the perimeter to prevent gaps.

Nets & Pond Netting FAQs

How much netting do I need?

Measure the pond’s maximum length and width and add extra for overhang on every side so you can secure it tightly.

What’s the best way to stop netting from sagging into the water?

Use a tent/support system or center supports so leaves don’t collect in low spots. Check and clear leaves regularly during peak drop.

Should I leave pond netting on year-round?

Most people use netting seasonally (fall leaves) and/or when predators are active. If you keep it on long-term, keep it tight and inspect periodically.
